Our athletes with intellectual disabilities have to overcome health, bullying, and societal challenges every day. We’re challenging you to step out of your comfort zone to fundraise and run on behalf of a Special Olympics athlete. As part of this challenge, you’ll pledge to raise $500 which will sponsor an athlete for one year and will allow them to overcome their own challenges through the power of sports. Just like we do with our Special Olympics athletes, we’ll give you the tools to succeed. Leading up to the race all participants will receive a personal fundraising web page, online fundraising tools that make fundraising easy, guidance and support from dedicated Special Olympics’ staff, additional incentive and gear options if you meet or exceed $500.
