Special Olympics Massachusetts is taking fundraising to a whole new level! Over the Edge is a unique fundraising event, providing participants the thrilling, once in a lifetime chance of rappelling down a building in an exciting and completely safe environment. Limited to the first 100 participants, individuals who want to participate are required to raise a minimum of $1,000 and can solicit donations from family, friends, and co-workers. All participants are invited to the party immediately after their descent where they can brag to friends and family who were too scared to go Over the Edge. Over the Edge is a two-day event from Friday to Saturday in July. Participants will be notified of their rappel time as we get closer to the date.
There is no experience or prior training needed in order to register. The Over the Edge staff consists of a team of experts, providing the technical expertise, training, and equipment needed who possess an outstanding safety record. The Hyatt Regency in Boston will host the event and participants will have the distinction of rappelling over 200 feet from the roof!
